Project Overview
Our team successfully executed a comprehensive, campus-wide telecommunications infrastructure project, delivering a high-capacity fiber optic backbone and network distribution system designed to support current and future technological demands. The backbone installation featured both 24-strand OM4 multimode and 24-strand OS2 single-mode fiber optic cabling, providing a highly scalable and resilient network foundation across the entire campus.
Central to the project’s success was the relocation and construction of a new Main Distribution Frame (MDF) and the strategic deployment of seven new Intermediate Distribution Frames (IDFs). This build-out included complete rack installations, advanced cable management, and backbone terminations to ensure organized and efficient distribution to all campus buildings. We integrated client-furnished Cisco network equipment within these spaces and provided specialized smart hands support to the owner’s IT staff and project consultants. All fiber optic lines were installed, terminated, labeled, and tested strictly to industry standards. The project concluded with coordinated network cutover activities, ensuring a seamless deployment with minimal disruption to ongoing campus operations.
