Project Overview
Meta’s Sunnyvale Campus at Moffett Towers II is a large-scale corporate workplace environment at 1180 Discovery Way, spanning approximately one million square feet across multiple buildings. MDC was engaged to deliver a comprehensive telecommunications infrastructure deployment supporting Meta’s high-density corporate operations across the entire campus.
MDC’s scope included the design and installation of more than 50 MDF and IDF network rooms, approximately 30,000 Category 6A copper cables, and an extensive fiber optic backbone infrastructure supporting high-speed interbuilding and vertical data distribution. Cellular distributed antenna systems and redundant wireless network coverage were also deployed to ensure seamless connectivity throughout the campus.
The project was executed under a design-build delivery approach with full Building Information Modeling (BIM) coordination, ensuring alignment across all disciplines while maintaining flexibility for future capacity expansion. Network rooms were strategically located and fully outfitted to meet enterprise-level performance and reliability standards.
