Project Overview
The Spartan Athletics Center is a new 65,000-square-foot, multi-story facility at San José State University that will serve as the central hub for Spartan Athletics, supporting football, men’s and women’s soccer, and the broader student-athlete community. Designed to enhance athletic performance, academic achievement, and student development, the state-of-the-art facility will include locker rooms, training and therapy areas, coaches’ offices, clubrooms, multipurpose learning spaces, an auditorium, and premium gameday amenities.
As a cornerstone of the university’s South Campus expansion, the project incorporates a robust low-voltage technology infrastructure designed to support modern athletic operations and fan engagement. The scope includes the deployment of structured cabling systems, MDF/IDF telecommunications rooms, fiber optic backbone connectivity, and wireless network infrastructure systems. Advanced audio visual technologies will support classrooms, meeting spaces, team rooms, and the auditorium through high-definition displays, digital signage, sound reinforcement systems, collaboration platforms, and multimedia presentation capabilities. Targeting LEED Gold certification, the Spartan Athletics Center will deliver a sustainable, technology-enabled environment that enhances communication, security, learning, and the overall student-athlete experience.
