Project Overview
Aduro Biotech Inc. is a UC Berkeley-founded immunotherapy company focused on advancing cancer treatments for complex tumor types including pancreatic cancer and mesothelioma. Following a successful public offering that raised approximately $119 million in Berkeley’s largest IPO at the time, the company entered a significant growth phase requiring upgraded infrastructure and scalable facility capacity to support expanded research and development operations.
As part of this expansion, Aduro relocated to a new four-story, 110,000-square-foot LEED Gold facility at 740 Heinz Avenue within the Aquatic Park Center R&D campus. The building incorporates flexible lab configurations, high-bandwidth data infrastructure, and backbone pathways designed to support mission-critical laboratory operations and future scalability, marking the first flexible life science building of its kind in Berkeley since 2001.
